Goals and Purpose:  To assist in the administration of the Body and Blood of Christ to God’s people, the Church.

Responsibilities:  EMHCs serve to bring Christ to his people at the Mass, in hospitals and nursing homes and to shut-ins in their homes.  EMHCs are commissioned for three years by the parish pastor.  If someone has been commissioned in another parish, he/she will need to be re-commissioned by the pastor of St. Joseph Parish.

Helpful attributes:  Must be a practicing Catholic and have compassion for the parishioners in need of this ministry.

Time Commitment: Approximately one hour per week.

Training Required: A training class and ability to serve at Mass as Minister of the Body and Blood of Christ.

Fingerprinting Required: No

Meeting Schedule: Various times as required by coordinator.
