Events & Volunteer Coordinator
Hours Worked: 20-25 per week. 10 Months / August – End May
Days Worked: Monday – Friday. Weekend if needed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaison to all Parish Ministries (English/Spanish)
- Recruit and Coordinate parish volunteers (English/Spanish)
- Collaborate with the Parish Hispanic Ministry
- Carpenter’s Kitchen (Ministry to the Homeless)
- Submit Driver license check for volunteer drivers (Transportation ministry and Carpenter’s Kitchen)
- Prepare and Operate within the Family Life Ministry Budget.
- Manage Family Center and Family Life Center Rental for Special Events
- Provide Volunteer Opportunities for St. Joseph School students and Confirmation students
- Prepare letter for volunteers (hours for high school)
- Maintain Bulletin Boards (maintaining)
- Ministry Scheduler Pro (MSP)
- Develop and Coordinate Parish Social and Fundraising Events including:
- New Parishioners Luncheon
- Food Drives (House of Hope)
- Thanksgiving and Easter Food Drive (St. Vincent de Paul)
- Hospitality Coffee & Donuts
- Parish Breakfasts
- Parish Raffle
- United Way of Martin County – White Doves program
- Angel Giving Tree
- Ministry Fair/Pastoral Council
- Our Lady of Guadalupe
- Parish Christmas Luncheon
- RICA (coordinate breakfast and lunch retreat, rehearsal reception)
- Parish Picnic/International Food Festival
- Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
- Mailings (Raffle, Christmas, Easter – arrange volunteers from folding, inserting to mailing)
- Easter Egg Hunt
- Other duties assigned by Pastor.
DRIVER LICENSE – VOLUNTEERS
- Contact ministry volunteers who are driving on behalf of the parish.
- Submit paperwork to Diocese Insurance Gallagher
- Send notification to ministry leader
- Keep a record of all the drivers and submit paperwork on a yearly basis.
MSP
- Update volunteer information when needed
- Print weekly schedule for weekend liturgy ministries
- On Thursday, leave schedule in the Sacristy
Qualifications:
- Bilingual – English/Spanish
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Publisher, Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet, Social Media Marketing, gSign up Genius, Canvas.
- Excellent and professional telephone manner, interpersonal skills, confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively with Diocesan employees, departments heads, representatives of other agencies and the general public.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and make responsible judgment calls.
- Ability to respect confidentiality and consistently exercise discretion and good business judgment
Physical Requirements
- Occasional light lifting and carrying of under 15 pounds
- Occasional moderate carrying and lifting of 15 – 44 pounds
- Frequent use of both hands and fingers (i.e. typing)
- Frequent extended periods of sitting
- Occasional periods of standing, kneeling and climbing
- Occasional ability of minimal hearing (i.e. loud noises, sirens) and routine hearing (i.e. listening to others in conversation)
- Occasional time spent working closely with others

Two (2) Extended Day Staff Members.
Qualifications: The role and responsibilities of this position is to support the mission of St. Joseph Catholic School. The successful candidate will possess the skills and have demonstrated success in supervising students (PK3-Grade 8) during an extended day program. The candidate should also demonstrate an ability to multi-task, work independently and make responsible judgment calls regarding the health, safety, and supervision of children.
Requirements: Applicants must be 18 years or older and enjoy working with children. Experience preferred but not required.
Substitute Teachers
Qualifications: The role and responsibilities of this position is to support the mission of St. Joseph Catholic School. The successful candidate will possess the skills and have demonstrated success in substitute teaching students in (PK3-Grade 8). The candidate should also demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, age-appropriate teaching strategies, and appropriate use of technology to enhance student performance.
Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of an associate degree. Experience teaching and working with children preferred.
Preference will be given to the candidate who possesses a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.
