Michael Taylor has served as the Music Minister at St. Joseph Parish since 2018, after relocating to Florida from New Jersey, where he was the Music Director and K-8 music teacher at Holy Innocents Parish for 20 years. Church music is his primary vocation, although he has also enjoyed playing “cocktail” piano in restaurants, doing session work for recording studios and working in pit bands for local productions of musicals. Michael is blessed with an ecumenical marriage to Reverend Grace Scarle, who, before moving to Florida, served as the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church at the Jersey Shore. Together, as The Taylors, they released the CD, “Ruah,” which can be heard on Spotify.
