Anthuanette Hidalgo is a professional in Practical Theology with experience in religious education, pastoral care, Catholic social teaching, health education, parenting education, chastity ministry, family ministry, youth ministry, ministry of the sick, migrant and refugee ministry, and farmworker ministry. For fifteen years, she worked at St. Juan Diego Pastoral Center in Fort Pierce and served as Director of Religious Education, Director of Youth Ministry, and Director of Parish Social Ministry. For seven years, she also served as Director of Youth Ministry at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Fellsmere. While doing her postgraduate studies abroad, she had the opportunity to volunteer with various Catholic ministries in Ireland, England, Rwanda, Kenya, Kosovo, and Peru. Anthuanette’s studies in political science, international human rights law, practical theology, social justice, and women’s studies, have trained her to be an agent of change by proclaiming the Good News and placing the poor and the most vulnerable at the center of the Gospel.
